Working Smarter: Lean Workshop and Cobot Demonstration Event in collaboration with SMAS

Businesses

We understand that introducing new technology can feel daunting for businesses. At the start of the year, Tay Cities Engineering Partnership (TCEP) in collaboration with SMAS, held a business breakfast to showcase how technology presents exciting opportunities for positive business growth within the Tayside’s Engineering and Manufacturing sectors.

Events like these are essential in helping businesses to learn how they can work more effectively, address their concerns and remove any fears they may have around adopting new technology.

TCEP aims to support businesses to embrace new technology such as welding cobots, enabling them to improve their productivity, remain competitive in the global market and boost the local economy.

As TCEP manager, Helen Ritchie highlights new technology is not here to replace employees but rather support them, enabling staff to progress into more advanced roles and improve work-life balance by letting the technology take care of the dull, dirty and dangerous work.

If you’re a business looking to embrace new technology then get in touch with our team. We’re here to provide you with the support and resources you need, including trialling new technology and helping you to source funding for your business.
