Studies show that by the age of nine, children are already forming ideas about the subjects they enjoy and the careers they might want to explore. That’s why at Tay Cities Engineering Partnership (TCEP), we believe it’s important to start the conversation early.
TCEP provide young people with hands-on educational experiences that challenge their misconceptions and bring engineering to life. By engaging with primary school and secondary school students, we provide them with the chance to try new skills, explore different careers and see firsthand how engineering plays a part in the world around them.
It’s all about making engineering relatable, accessible and something they can picture themselves doing because we’ve found that the best way to inspire the future generation of engineers is to actually let them experience it for themselves.
This involves engaging with schools in a variety of interactive activities including school visits, careers fairs, college taster sessions and so much more!
If you’re a school or community group that works with young people, please feel free to get in touch and find out how we can support you!
