Tay Cities Engineering Partnership (TCEP) is a network dedicated to the growth and development of Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing in Tayside, in light of the widening STEM skills gap across the region.
Our ambitious partnership is made up of six organisations who are working together to exchange expertise between industry and education sectors to create a skilled future workforce and accelerate the pace of research and development which will benefit the businesses, local community and the economy.
The partnership secured funding of up to £2M from the Scottish Government as part of the Tay Cities Regional Deal which will help to drive the transformation of the local engineering and advanced manufacturing sector.

At TCEP, our purpose is to strengthen the local area, and that’s why all of our projects are centred around aligning local skills development to address industry gaps within the region.

We have the opportunity to bring more people into the engineering industry
Based in EPIC at Dundee & Angus College’s Arbroath Campus, Helen’s role is to manage the partnership, overseeing the exciting projects that are in progress and ensuring that our people, facilities and projects are accessible to everyone who wants to learn more about engineering in the Tayside region.
With over a decade of experience of working in automotive engineering, with various roles in research and development to production for large manufacturers such as Nissan and Aston Martin, Helen has a wealth of knowledge and industry experience that she brings to the partnership.
As TCEP manager, Helen is particularly passionate about demystifying engineering as a career to make the sector more accessible and attract more young people, especially women who are currently underrepresented.
